History

Serving our community for over 75 years!

For three generations of family and seventy-five years, Halco has been serving its community in the kitchen and bathroom space. Craftsman at heart Pat Procopio and his brothers purchased Halco a local cabinet shop soon after the end of WWII. The brothers having a different vision for the company and quality parted ways leaving Pat at the helm until his death in 1983.

The boys Mark and Tim had grown up in the business working in the shop and designing. There were many trials the now young men were faced with, but they persevered and overcame. In the early years after their father’s death Mark focused on the design, and Tim on the installation.

As their families grew the company evolved to meet the need of their community offering kitchens and bathrooms that were quality and value focused. With a range of offerings for the everyday middleclass family to those with the means and taste for the luxurious. Halco treated them all fairly with honesty and the utmost integrity offering cabinets design and installation services to meet each one’s specific need and want.

In 2005 brother Mark and his family moved to Brazil becoming missionaries in the poor villages of Natal. Tim supporting his brother’s decision and desire to work with those less fortunate continued on without the daily support of his business partner and brother.

Today, Mark and his wife Lori live in Brazil still working with the those less fortunate. They are in the process of fulfilling their dream and vision constructing a family-oriented orphanage creating jobs through their furniture shop and store.

As Tim’s sons grew up, Tim Jr and Tyler they began working together on renovation projects as one son is an electrician, and the other a plumber. Tyler’s wife Kelly showing interest in interior design began working in the family business as well. As they began working closer and closer together a transition to the next generation had begun. Today, Pat, Mark and Tim Sr. may not be involved in the day to day of the company, but their values and faith are still evident today in how Halco Kitchen and Bath serves its community, customers, and clients.

Tim Sr. is enjoying life now as a grandfather. Still very much around the day to day of the business he enjoys meeting with people who come by the showroom, mentoring the new generation of designers and project managers and lending a hand on the job sites.

We are proud to celebrate our 75th Anniversary and look forward to serving our community for the next 25 years until the next generation can be added to the story.
